Look What I Just Got!!!!!

Okay, so just so you are aware, this post will probably be full of ridiculousness. I gave you fair warning.

OH MY FRICKING GOD!

I GOT THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER!

SERIOUSLY.

So one day, I was perusing the local Wal-Mart and just happened to come upon...

ISN'T IT FRICKING GORGEOUS?!?!?!?!

The picture seriously doesn't even do it justice. It's a gorgeous grey with the etching and the awesome gold on there. The whole thing is like a velvety-suede kind of fabric, if that makes any sense.

It's just so soft and I just want to hold it to my chest and stroke it.

Which I did.

In the store.

#DontCare

I just needed it in my life, but I told myself no. You already have it. Are you really going to read it again? It's $21 (practically a steal if you ask me, but hey, money is rough).

So I waited.

And WAITED.

And then finally, I couldn't stand it anymore. After work I briskly-walked into that baby and picked up the most beautiful that I have come to own. Legit.

What is the most beautiful book that you own? Do you ever just find something and you're just like, I NEED you!?

And did I mention that today, well now it's yesterday, but I haven't gone to sleep, so today- is World Penguin Day?!

School...Such a Book Reader's Enemy

WOW! I have been gone for such a long time! And I am soooo sorry about that. During school I really have almost no time to read, so really nothing to post on here :(

School is my enemy!! >.<

Seeing as I am lucky enough to have quite a bit of time on my hands in the next two weeks, I will be reading more! Yay! :) I would like to finish at least two books in the next two weeks and maybe a couple more within the next month.

December will be starting my Winter break and I will finally be back to reading a LOT! I have so many books that I would like to get back to and finish (especially the Pretty Little Liars series!) and I will have so much more time to actually read and post on here. I'm thinking 6 books in the month that I have no classes. Maybe I will be even more bored than I think and get even more done ;) we will just have to see!

This weekend: I will be reading The Hobbit. I have no idea why I have not read this yet. I know. I'm a horrible Tolkien fan for not having read this sooner, but I definitely want to have it read before the movie comes out!!

Next couple weeks: I am borrowing The Summer House by Marcia Willett and The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory from my school's library and have to return them within the month, so hopefully I will finish them around Thanksgiving weekend after lulling myself into a turkey-induced reading state :)

Day 17. Why can't I just like this book??

Day 17 of the 30 Day Book Challenge is all about a book that I have read, and do not like, even though I want to like it.

Now, most people who know me and hear my nerd side come out a lot will probably be shocked by this answer, but the book that I just cannot bring myself to love nearly as much as the one before and after it is.....

The Two Towers by J R Tolkien. Gasps! Yes! I know!!! I'm horrible....

But I just cannot bring myself to like it nearly as much as the other two books. Don't get me wrong, there are some really good parts in the book! (The second half of the book anyways...)

But seriously, I took a two YEAR break in the middle of reading this book. Obviously, something was not going right here. I couldn't help it either!!! It was just soooo boring! I couldn't take another chapter about Aragorn and Gimli and Legolas running around trying to find Merry and Pippin. I just could not read any more about it.

I love the movie, but even the movie is slightly boring when they are doing that, but luckily the movie goes back and forth. The book does not.

As a Lord of the Rings fanatic, it is probably blasphemy for me to not like this book as much as the others, but I do still respect the book. I just cant love it as much as the others.

Is there a book that you want to love, but for some reason or other, you just can't??
